I honestly thought this was a joke until I read the linked article.

This move secures a spot in the playoffs for the Omaha Royals and Dayton Moore understands how to build up a farm system and how the prospects can thrive and succeed and win at low levels and eventually come to the big leagues and become the next Mike Aviles.
Randolph will pitch to contact and then can either give us the option of trading him off for Adam Jones and Chin-lung Hu or the option of signing him to a long-term contract!!!!!!!!! 111 which David Glass never would have done under another DM.
