Thanks for depressing me even more
given the state of my own “work”, and the fact that today you’ve had more visits than even my best day at Driveline since I discovered SiteMeter.
I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at Driveline Mechanics.

the hits will come
yuck, I guess I come off as pretty stuck up or something above… do you ever get the urge to blog something, despite also feeling like it’s a horrible time to do so?

Men in halter tops = victory
crossdressing seems to work out for the Royals better than The Mets hotel arrangement
No word on if the furries molested Mr. Met

must commend you on posting the "fire dayton moore" link
God he sucks…Jacobs/Crisp have failed. Nunez is the Marlins closer right now for a team gunning for and about to be in first place! And Ram Ram has the best WHIP amongst ALL RED SOX PITCHERS!
Two things about the article to point out. If its Royal treatment Moore should actually get beheaded or thrown off a cliff if he’s going to get overthrown.
And I read two comments about offense/defense what about the fucking bullpen!!!

The Kings Of
Kauffman blog had an interesting piece on fixing the roster. After all his moves are made, this would be the big team:
http://kingsofkauffman.com/2009/07/02/fixing-the-royals/
Offensively our revamped post-trade deadline roster looks like this (assuming no ML ready pieces are acquired in the trades):
C-Brayan Pena and John Buck
1B/DH-Kila Ka’aihue and Billy Butler
2B-Albero Callaspo
SS-Willie Bloomquist backed up by Luis Hernandez
3B-Alex Gordon
IF-Tug Hulett
LF-Mark Teahen
CF-David DeJesus
RF-Jordan Parraz
OF-Mitch Maier
Rotation:
RHP-Zack Greinke
RHP-Gil Meche
RHP-Luke Hochevar
LHP-Bruce Chen
RHP-Kyle Davies
Bullpen:
Stays mostly intact with Chris Hayes stepping in for the departed Mahay or Cruz
Players Released: Tony Pena Jr., Sidney Ponson
Players Traded: Mike Jacobs, Miguel Olivo, Jose Guillen, Brian Bannister, Ron Mahay or Juan Cruz
Players Not Back for 2010: John Buck, Tug Hulett, Coco Crisp, Luis Hernandez
Offseason FA Targets:
1) SS
2) Corner OF, preferably LF with power
3) C
4) SP
Bloomers as an everyday SS and a AA player brought up to start in RF are about the only things I can really disagree with, but I really don’t have any good alternatives, either.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
