Around SBN: The Gift Of The 2003 Tigers

""It was pretty severe, I guess," Crisp said. "Initially, they thought it was just a slight tear, but it ended up being pretty bad in there. They had to put a pin in there, one on the front of my rotator cuff, then five in the back and a wire in there to keep it all together." "

"Crisp pinpointed the injury to his right shoulder as occurring on April 15 against Cleveland at Kansas City."

"The left shoulder, he recalled, was hurt on May 25 as he swung for a base hit against Detroit at KC.

"I thought, 'Oh, it's not that bad,' and it just gradually got worse," he said. "And I said, 'Gosh, I can't hit from either side.'" From that point on, he had just three singles in 19 at-bats and then went on the disabled list. "

Tremendous work all around.

Probably An Extension

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Ouch... April 15th?

That’s like, two weeks into the season… just DL him then and let him heal… oh well.

I think its hilarious

He had nineteen at-bats AFTER he said “gosh I can’t hit from either side of the plate.”

That Doesn't Really

Separate him from over half of the lineup we’ve been trotting out for the last month.

Well

Trey didn’t want the other hitters to feel embarrassed that a guy batting to .228 was one of our better players. so, he decided to bring Coco back to the pack a little bit to teach him a lesson
