Waechter to DL, Freel release waivers requested
I am shocked... SHOCKED... that no other club wanted Ryan Freel. What is the world coming to? And by that, I mean "To what is the world coming?"
Don't worry, though, I'm sure the Cubs will still make out OK. I'm waiting for the announcement on that PTBNL; Vegas odds show Mike Montgomery and Dan Duffy as the front runners. Teahen is the dark horse candidate (if, of course, the Royals agree to pick up the rest of his salary).

PTBNL - $1
Usually they base it off of production don’t they? He barely played, they shouldn’t get much.

Waechter = gritty; Aviles = dishonest
Of Waechter’s recurring injuries, Trey said, “I don’t put (Waechter) in a category of being selfish. I put it in a category of a guy trying to go out there and earn his money _ and trying to help a team that has been scuffling out of the bullpen.”
From a post by 306008 in late July, GMDM commented on the Aviles injury; “He (Moore) was disappointed in Aviles. He said that Aviles had lied to them about the injury and they went on his word.”
This from the organization that loves Bloomy for his defense and power and attitude, but hates DDJ for his lack of defense and power and attitude. Is there nothing they can’t get wrong?
Baseball's that swingy stick game, right?
