The criticism doesn't make sense.
Surprised we were not just told to trust The Process. Thanks for calling us all stupid again GMDM.

More.
By the way, I think Gordon should be in AAA. He was not ready or healthy. The timing is odd and deserves to be questioned. The arrogance of this organization is amazing.
New question. Why is Colon still on this team?
apparently teams want to claim our relievers on waivers
Graduate with a B.S. from the Dayton Moore School of Stats Analysis

You left your snark button on.
If I were a drag queen, I'd go out as a Sarah Palin look-alike and title my character 'Miss Information.'
Dayton looks more and more like a donkey everytime he opens his mouth
Club officials cited several baseball reasons in defending the move — and Gordon was batting just .198.
I guess batting under .200 is the key with Yuny at .206 and Buck at .209

because we aren't allowed to root for a team that we love regardless of poor manangement...
according to what you say I am not allowed to go to a Royals game to see Greinke pitch, or Billy hit. Im not allowed to see an opportunity for Soria to Mexicute… Fuck you man, anyone who uses absolutes is an idiot.

I knew Moore would go there!
He cites options not available on most of the relievers as another reason to option Gordon. As if outrighting Colon or Bale would even produce a claim by another team. As if losing either guy would actually hurt the Royals.
Look, I can understand the Gordon demotion, when I give it some thought. Just defend the move based on “it’s best for his development at this time” – don’t toss in the bullshit about being afraid to lose a reliever, or about how you think you need 13 man pitching staff. No other team in the AL is going with a 13 man staff; if you actually think we need to, then apparently some of the relievers you have probably should be jettisoned for that very reason, huh?
Mr Glass, this is a pro sports team, not a retail store - run it like one!

But you guys!!!! IT's TEH Process!!!!
We could not even begin to fathom the quirks!
When super delayed gratification meets with underachieving veteran they laugh at the Royals, just a hypothesis though

In my new glass-half-full outlook on life with the Royals
I am glad that GMDM wasn’t caught off guard by criticism of this move. That would have been truly depressing.

Moore processes
It’s been the site of 40 triples, third most at any stadium this year, with 27 by the Royals, and Hillman thinks that’s a natural consequence of being in a large ballpark. Kuntz adds to that, however.
“Trey has made it a point that when you hit a gap, you think three. Because I know we had a quite a few of ’em last year where guys were pulling up at second base and that was good enough,” Kuntz said. “And that was one of the things he wanted to make sure he changed this year, that mentality of instead of conceding to a double, to think triple coming out of the box and they’ve really done a good job of that.”
That's the worst lookin' hat I've ever seen...
retribution will come in the form of him
having his ass kicked to the curb at some point…
where i'm "day-to-day" but i won't play again happens!
The timing makes sense: this buys the Royals another year of team control
That makes it a good move. You can read more here.
The immoderate moderator
why do people hate this move?
because he may not have given the actual reason behind the move in an interview?
should the priorities of general managers be
1. transparency
2. being good at their job ?
