Burlington photos
Brewer fan here, but I had a chance to go to the Burlington Bees' win at Quad Cities saturday night. I didn't get to pay too much attention to the game, since my 1-year-old son was too busy for that to be allowed, but I was still able to take a bunch of pictures, if anybody is interested in having a look.
View from left field before the game. Very nice park, looks like it was originally built to host both baseball and football. The stairway up to the grandstand area after the main entrance was something you don't see a lot anymore. The park "felt" bigger than it was, but you can still get as close to the players as you would expect at any single-A facility. The atmosphere wasn't great for a game with such a high attendance, but that could have something to do with the home team's performance...
More after the jump!

Agreed
Just beautiful. The picture of Norris is just about a work of art. I tried to get pictures on my MiLB trips, but my camera 1) doesn’t zoom like that and 2) doesn’t look that good even if it does.
If you look closely, it really says "CentralChamps2012."

Thanks for the kind words! I had just picked up a new telephoto lens, so obviously I had to test it out.

Thanks for the pictures
a bunch of our affiliates are close enough to visit from KC, but I’ve only ever been to 3 minor league games. A couple Iowa Cubs games, and the Appleton Foxes in 1992 when they were a Royals affiliate. First time I saw Joe Randa play.
I have been to Wilmington and Omaha
This year I saw the O-Royals rally from three down in the ninth to beat Iowa 5-4.
Did they shoot
part of the movie “Sugar” at that park? That bridge
looks familiar….. (great film, by the way)
Yeah…it was “Jimmy Buffett Night”. I think there is a rule stating that every minor league baseball team must have one of these.
