BP: Royals Have Third-Toughest Remaining Schedule in the AL

Jay Jaffe of Baseball Prospectus backs up what I've said a few times before, the Royals schedule down the stretch is going to be difficult.

            Leftover Previous Overall Playoff
Team        Schedule Schedule  Schedule   Odds

Orioles      .542   .516    .521
Blue Jays    .532   .508    .513
Royals       .521   .497    .503
White Sox
    .517   .484     .491      13.6%
Rays
        .517   .498     .502      24.6%

(These numbers are adjusted to reflect home/road splits.) The good news for the Royals is that their series against the Yankees during the last week of the season may be irrelevant, which could mean more Sergio Mitre and less CC Sabathia. Trust the 100-loss season Process.
