PrintLast night I hit that widget on ESPN.com that tells you how long you'd have to work to earn [insert athlete here]'s annual salary. I'm usually not too hung up on that sort of thing, but when I discovered that it would take me seven hundred years to earn Matt Cassell's 2009 paycheck, well, that slayed me. Matt Cassell! Seven hundred years is a long time, that's the distance from today and the heyday of the Knights Templar, the Mongol hordes, the Black Death and all that.
Mariners suck, Royals suck. Oh, and I suck worse than any of them. That about covers it.

I can see it now…. book signings, movie deals, young hot starlets on your arm at fancy parties. Oops, don’t tell the wife that one. Get off you dead professor’s ass and write that book. You know you want too. Cassel would be eating your dust.
I think every body from my teachers to my mother... told me
if you would only appy yourself…. I hope no offense is taken, RR. Just a light hearted jab in the ribs….
