…why do I think Anderson will be untouchable today?

Anderson . . .

“The 21-year-old rookie is 3-1 with a 1.93 ERA in 46 innings over his past seven starts, holding opponents to a .182 average.”

That does not sound promising, especially because none of those past seven starts were against the Royals.

by BHWick on Aug 9, 2009 1:41 PM EDT up reply actions

just more examples of Trey

not knowing what the hell he’s even talking about and not remembering what he told someone the day before – still don’t understand how a player’s position in the order makes them “uncomfortable” or more or less “productive” – I guess that’s because I’m not in the “game” and therefore can’t understand how to “play the game the right way” – and I can’t be educated

actually

Trey starting Pena as the cleanup hitter on Friday was pretty stupid. Brayan Pena is clearly better as a RHB and he made several outs after Butler got on base.

Trey isn’t consistent and Dayton isn’t creative. Heck of a team

Why not hit AC 2nd vs lefties? I mean, how many times does Billy come to the plate with the bases empty? All of the time or just damn near most of the time?

Honest question, Do you see the logic in that defensive alignment?

I don’t get it. Teahen has more experience. Teahen has a stronger arm that would better suit throws across the diamond. Plus defense hasn’t been Al’s best tool this year.

If someone really has an explanation, I’d like to hear it. I won’t even argue, I just want to know why.

I am an A’s fan, gotta listen to the home team play-by-play on XM.

I feel sorry for you guys! Your play-by-play radio team is TERRIBLE! Monotone, no emotion, pop-ups and HR are called the same until the ball lands, no “….and the runner goes….” just something like “blah, blah, blah,….Davis takes 2nd……balh, blah” Plus they are horribly mispronouncing A’s player names. Sounds very unprofessional.

I know both of our teams are bad, but it sounds like these guys are just mailing it in. Just waiting for the season to be over. Time to call up the AAA guys hahah!

Good luck going forward. We as A’s fans feel your pain following a small market team, it’s tough, you guys deserve better radio guys!
