- Seriously, Detroit, you are effing miserable. The Tigers needed two errors to stage a comeback against the Blue Jays last night, and they followed that up with a complete laydown against the Royals. Always remember how important momentum is in sports. Oh wait, you'd never forget, because we hear about it constantly.
- Robinson Tejeda: 5.0 IP, 2 Hs, 4 BBs, 5 Ks. Kinda a weird night, but of course we'll take it. Dude's ERA on the season is now at 3.09. I don't know what to say.
- The fourth inning gave birth to Dayton Moore's least favorite three-run homer of all time: David DeJesus's blast which scored John Buck and Alex Gordon. Damn those sons of bitches for killing a rally like that.
- Olivo walked! Jarrod Washburn epic pitching fail.
- Thank God we got Josh Anderson into this baby. I was getting worried. Nobody is more on the spot with marginally useful outfield rearrangements than we are. I measure time by it, as in, my cable bill is due in three more 8th inning Maier-Bloomquist-DeJesus shuffles.
- St. Willie had a bunch of hits. Although he's under contract for next season, I expect him to get the Gload treatment, with a new deal extending him through 2011 to be reached soon.
