The Royals' 2009 From An Outside Perspective
The first handful of dirt on the corpse of another wasted baseball season in KC; linked via The Hardball Times.
"What the team has to do for 2010 Have better preventive medicine so players don't get hurt as often. ... Find more guys like Billy Butler(notes), who is developing into a fine hitter. Alberto Callaspo(notes) is another good offensive player at second base. Alex Gordon probably will be fine at third base, too. There's a good thing Dayton Moore did — sending Gordon back to the minors."

At least they apologized for the Soria interview
Actually, the article was pretty good, especially for being from a national outlet.
No real Royals-as-a-laughing-stock cheap shots, fair credit to Zack (and, no, KC shouldn’t trade him just because all of baseball wants to see him more- complain to ESPN/Fox for always showing larger markets; MLBN does a much better job at sharing the wealth), grasped the argument surrounding the Moore extension, didn’t give too much of a free pass for injuries, and linked to Rany.

I thought Zack's last start wasn't on TV, but my brother informed me that MLBN carried it
Too bad I don’t get it.

i agree, seemed pretty even-handed
and willing to call out Moore – big fan of this line
If Crisp doesn’t get hurt, if Alex Gordon doesn’t get hurt and if gramma had wheels she’d be a wagon.
also interesting to see them link to external blogs like Rany, something i wouldn’t expect a national outlet to do.
