Too bad Dayton Moore is the other half of that equation

Dayton knows the Royals only beat him because they love him. He’s with them for the sweet times. And this sweet time here, as the relationship almost collapsed, has guaranteed that Dayton will walk into a few more doors next year.

I'd say the players or fans are more the abused

and Dayton is the abuser

I can just see him, crappy non-alcoholic beer in hand, wearing a wife beater and looking dazed as Rany and JoPo in cop uniforms drive away, saying “I know we’ll be back there next week, I just hope she’s alive.”
