Some people think Sabathia should win the Cy

Premises:

(1) Wins are traditionally the most important statistic for determining the Cy Young winner

(2) Greinke is quite weak in wins, but clearly the strongest candidate by any other yardstick

(3) Sabathia is the strongest candidate when measuring by wins

Conclusion:

If wins are important enough to the voters to not vote for Greinke, don't they almost have to vote for Sabathia?

Star-divide

Now here's the fun part:

Greinke's ERA: 2.08

Sabathia's ERA: 3.31

American League Average ERA: 4.45

Yes, Sabathia has been one of the top pitchers in the league.  And yes, Sabathia is closer to league average than he is to Greinke.

Give Zack the award already he deserved so does this team that barely made anything out of this season.

just like my blue jays, I’m happy that we have two very talented players in Lind and Hill, who have acomplished 30hr/100RBI, which none of our fans expected them to do.

I will kill small animals if CC wins the CY Young

As I see, there is no justification for anyone other than Zack. And certainly not CC or (and people really advocate this) Mariano Rivera. Felix Hernandez would be a little bit more understandable, but still a massive injustice.

I've heard some also make the argument

That Sabathia has more pressure on him because he’s in a pennant race and Greinke isn’t. Total bunk, but its the argument being made.

...but I can still see KC, so we have that going for us.

Wait a goddamned minute...

Nebraska isn’t directly west of KC, nor is Chicago that far north of KC.

The only guy left that could reasonably make an argument for

is Hernandez.

Sounds like Seattle is adjusting their rotation so he will get 3 more starts. He could end up with 19 wins and an ERA at least reasonably close to Zack’s.

Sure wouldn’t hurt Greinke to pick up 2 more wins, just in case. Also wouldn’t hurt if the last one eliminated the Twins for the division or something.

(Not saying I agree with all of this – just that some old school voters might be thinking in weird ways like this)

Mr Glass, this is a pro sports team, not a retail store - run it like one!
