Game 154 Open Thread - Twins (79-73) at Royals (63-90)

Minnesota Twins at Kansas City Royals, Sep 25, 2009 8:10 PM EDT

Star-divide

Big chance for the Royals to really damage the Twins' slim playoff chances this weekend at the K.

Your pitching matchup is Carl Pavano against Robinson Tejeda. Pavano will make his sixth start of the season against KC tonight. Having six out of your thirty one starts against the Royals, known as pulling a Cliff Lee, must be fun.

I did really well this year leaving a roster spot open and just plugging in guys from teams the Royals were playing. I didn’t like doing it but when you know the team you follow is no good then using their opponents is a good strategy.

That is a travesty

Its not like Betancourt had to dive for the ball. I was essentially hit right to him. He just didn’t field it. At least the nephew is here and I had a classic example to show him how not making a basic play can blow up in your face. He turns that play its still 2-1 and we are still actually in suspense as to how it might turn out.

so has anybody been imnpressed by carlos rosa so far?

i gotta say, for a guy that was ranked as a top prospect… i have really seen nothing from him. he throws hard, can’t really control it, his slider seems pretty flat, the changeup isn’t really a swing and a miss pitch… not really sure what there is to get excited about with him.

Four runs = white flag.

- W. Bloomquist homered to deep center
- P. Earth explodes

by JobDDT on Sep 25, 2009 11:07 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

that's basically what that says to me

gordon might be the future but olivo has a chance of actually running into one and making it a one run game… and you don’t pull the trigger.
