The Cy Young World Series

To answer the question of who should win the American League Cy Young, you just have to ask yourself the following questions:

Who would win a 7 game series between the Royals and Yankees if Zack Greinke and CC Sabathia started every game?

Who would win a 7 game series between the Royals and Mariners if Zack Greinke and Felix Hernandez started every game?

I understand that poor Zack has the worst supporting cast, but truly think both series would be very close and the Royals could be favored by some.

Let me know what you think.

A better question is

Who would win if both pitchers were facing a team of league-average hitters? The answer’s the same.

Ask yourself this:

Could anyone beat Greinke if he pitched for the Yankees? 34-0 baby!

I think we should...

have a real pitchers duel.

Set two mounds the standard distance from the plate apart and allow the highest 4 pitchers in each the AL and NL Cy voting to huck it at each other. Each will alternate throws until three pitches have been thrown. This will be considered a single round. If both remain standing, then a second round will commence when each indicate they are ready. This will continue until one pitcher calls for clemency or is unable to stand/throw/breathe.

My bet is still with Zack. Pain asks Zack if it hurts.
