Royals in line for 4th overall draft pick, with Indians hot on the trail. Pirates and Orioles nearly impossible to catch since they need to win 6 of 7 and 5 of 6 respectively while the Royals would need to get swept by the Yankees and Twins.

although
who could field a better baseball team, the KC Royals or the KC Chiefs roster?
the Chiefs might have a tough time finding pitching, though.

Todd Haley and Scott Piolli could win as many games as the Royals by
picking up guys on the street.

Don't you remember his comment to Brian Waters when he first got here?
Something like:
“You guys won 2 games last year. I could do that with a team full of street free agents.”

yes, i'm with you
the sad thing is, while it wasn’t true with the chiefs, it might actually be true with the Royals

Yeah, I'm gonna be laughing my ass off when the Chiefs don't win any games this year
Although, with the tougher part of the schedule at the front end of the year, it should toughen them up for a very weak stretch run where they should win at least 3 games.
