3rd round draft pick is currently batting .426 with 10 XBH's at just under 60 AB's. Baseball Prospectus and Baseball America should be drooling all over this.

Small Sample Size

but it is very encouraging.

One thing not so encouraging is the 15 Ks to 6 walks. He’s striking out about 20-25% of the time.

to be fair he has 7 walks

and had a 0 to 3 bb:k ratio in burlington.

what makes this look great in spite of the small sample size, is that he was described as a big time power hitter and he’s really living up to that.

keeping it up

today’s line through the seventh inning…5 for 5 with a HR (his fifth in 56 a.b.s) and a double. He also threw out a base runner. I wonder if the royals will try to get him some more at bats by sending him to one of the three minor league teams in the playoffs.

go royals

Oh, boy….the attempted comic relief has been killed. Uh-oh…we need a funny moment….

Take it away, Conrad Twitty….
