Other than that, he doesn’t expect much to change, even with Cy Young being part of his title now. He dealt with a lot of this last year, with the Sports Illustrated cover and All-Star Game, so it shouldn’t all be new.
Even that extra attention he gets at the gym is a bit, well, maybe it’s best if he explains.
"No one really recognizes me," he says. "The way they do, one person recognizes me, and then they tell someone else and so eventually they all hear I play baseball. But a couple guys were calling me ‘Tim’ at the gym, because they thought I was (NL Cy Young winner) Tim Lincecum. That’s how it is."

Let me get this straight Zack. You're telling me, carnitas, not steak, is the way to go at Chipotle?

"Guys... There's nothing to be ashamed about only having one Cy Young award."
[leans into Zack and whispers…]
“Especially if it came in the NL…”

sounds like some good advice from Sabe
"Be yourself," he says. "After I won the award, the next year I found myself trying to prove to everybody that I was worth it. I prepared the same, and did everything the same, except when I got out on the field I was just trying to do too much, throwing too hard, that kind of thing."
Conversation b/t Special baseball operations consultant Zapp Brannigan and GM Dayton Moore: "...but paper covers rock and rock crushes scissors...we have a conundrum. Get me some paper, a rock, and some scissors."

that's a solid peice of advice.
Coffee. The NEW Performance Enhancing drug for Sport's Writers. Just ask Ken Rosenthal.
I think its remarkable
How similar Greinke and Sabes are in some respects. They both throw in the low 90s but seem to ramp it up higher when they need to. Both have pinpoint command. Both have pretty extensive repertoires. Both are excellent fielders and overall athletes.
Just hope Zack can avoid Sabes injury bug.

Sabes did say
that Greinke was the most complete pitcher in a while because of his willingness to throw inside.
Or something like that.
I just hope
he can be up for a World Series MVP award in a Royals uniform.
