mlb.com talks to Hillman about mlb.com's favorite subject--the Yankees
Why is this a story on mlb.com? Is this reporter his friend trying to get him a job with the Yankees or something?

He should go back to Japan
They really love to let the starter pitch as long as possible, and bunts, and make substitutes.

I've thought about this
I suspect a fair number of people would have hated Trey less had he never been to Japan. But they think he is bringing “Japanese baseball” over here, and don’t like it.
See Ned Yost. Manages in a nearly indistuingashble way from Hillman, but is American through and through in terms of baseball background and so he gets not a fraction of the shit for doing the exact same things- Dumb bunts, dumb steals, dumb lineups, dumb PH, dumb bullpen management.
trey tended to antagonize the media
ned seems to get along with the press a lot better.

Not just the media but the fans as well.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

You are reaching the wrong conclusion.
The correct one is that Ned should go to Japan too with Trey

And so, we are now, at last place, with similar wins as last year.
Is there any difference between Ned and Trey?
