Couple of ideas for off-season
The Royals are entering an interesting season. They could easily trade Greinke for a boat load of talented prospecs, then switch Soria to a starter. They could also remain intact, re-sign Chen and maybe add Orlando Hudson to clear up the muddied infield. Hudson is always a gamer, and would sign here on a one year deal with a mutual option for a second year. The Royals could then move Aviles back to short, and perhaps limit Betancourt or simply trade him for something interesting in AAA.
The age of many current Royals players is becoming something interesting also, because many of the "young" players, IE Hochevar, Gordon, Kila, Humber, etc, are nearing or beyond 27. Davies?
So many possible improvements, just from experience.
Do I think the Royals will improve in 2011? Yes.
Will they make the playoffs? No.
I still think positive things can happen, and why not improve a little, just for fun.

We'd Have To
Pay some or all of Yu-Bet’s contract to trade him for ABC gum.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
only trades
i could see a lot of them…FA signings, not so much.

I love Hudson
But I’d at least like to see what Getz can do.
I agree with HR Tony Cogan – lots of trades, not so many FAs.
