The Great American Royals Songbook, #3

Stay connected for news and updates

From the demented and procrastinating mind that brought you "What a Friend We Have in Frenchy" (see comments), and then sang the "Signing Jeff Francoeur Blues" (end of comments), comes the next entry in the Great American Royals Songbook.  Something optimistic this time, which requires looking into the (hopefully) not too distant future.

To the tune of "Somewhere" from West Side Story:

There's a place for us,

Someday first place for us,

Mike Moustakas will hit home runs, by the tons, someday....

There's a time for us,

A winning time for us,

Mike Montgomery will be an ace,

And we'll be in a pennant race, someday, some way,

We'll know a season of winning,

Scoring runs inning by inning,

Winning...

There's a place for us,

A champion place for us,

Eric Hosmer will hit a ton,

Losing seasons will be long gone,

Someday ... some way ... someday.

(Hey, it beats grading.)
