It appears that the Dayton Moore Incompetence Tournament has brought out some surprisingly strong voices of dissent who reject the fundamental assumption of the tourney. Without going into a thorough breakdown of Dayton Moore's tenure as Royals GM, we can see that he's built the #1 minor league system in baseball, but it doesn't appear that he's done much else well. It appeears that he and his staff have done a terrible job of evaluating and acquiring major league talent. It also appears that Moore doesn't read the market well, in that he's rushed to wildly overpay for some poor players like Jose Guillen, Kyle Farnsworth and others. So I'm curious what others think about the ultimate question: Is Dayton Moore incompetent as a GM? Feel free to discuss and please vote.
