Around SBN: Four TCU Football Players Among 17 Arrested In Drug Ring

I Will Be On a Podcast Tonight

I will be on Travis Aune's "Travis Talks Weekly Minnesota Sports" Podcast tonight at 9 CST.

I believe you can listen here.

You can call in during the show I believe. (347) 237-5433 And there may be a way to post questions.

I think I'll just be talking about the Royals, so honestly, you can basically script what I'm going to say.

Travis is totally going to pull a fast one on you

and press you on whether will Duluth East or Grand Rapids be able to skate with the suburban powerhouses from the Cities come tournament time. If so, just say you really like Bloomington Jefferson’s chances and hopefully he will move on.

You get bonus points for bringing up how great it is that the long suffering Saints fans finally got their Lombardi Trophy.

I dare dare dare dare dare you to say

you think Yuni is underrated, and this season we’ll be blown away by his stellar defense—especially his lateral movement—and that he’ll make up for his low OBP with leadership and grit.

In the interest of self-promotion

I babbled a bit on the inaugural installation of “FanGraphs Audio” that was posted today:

Carson is actually pretty hilarious

Another English Ph.D guy — I think you’d like him. I believe he’s published volumes of poetry.

Hopefully, he’ll be a bit more unhinged next time. I love his posts, although they aren’t to everyone’s taste.

Anyway, we’re still working out some of the kinks. We had a first run in which I made more sense, but a few minutes in, Cameron kept getting disconnected, so we had to start over. Didn’t have much to say about Kevin Gregg.

I wasn't trying to be critical

I just noticed that he was referring to people as “Mr” a few times

ive also been listening to the Lookout Landing podcasts, which are also good

btw… some stats sound weird saying them, didn’t someone on the FG one say “wOBA” and there’s always teh CHONE issue

by Freneau on Feb 8, 2010 9:50 PM EST up reply actions

yeah, said it

CHONE is a problem

Can I advise that you find a better way to distribute it than Rock M Nation

did with theirs. I enjoyed the pieces they did but when they had it placed on the frontpage, it killed my browser every time.

Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

The rotating ad for the chat with TV's Meeno Peluce (Voyagers!) distracted me

He was Punky Brewster’s real life brother.

Travis gave it a good try, although it sounded at times like a kid interviewing his dad’s friend for the school radio.

Can we just decide the Central by having an eating contest amongst the 1Bmen?

He who takes down the most Baconaters in 45 minutes gets their team into the playoffs to face the Yankees, may need to get Miguel Cabrera to convert to Islam first though.

You were a natural!

You really outclassed that guy. You need to be on podcasts more often. And I second the idea of having podcasts on royalsreview. I’d love to listen to you and DF and some of the other clowns bandying Moore around.
