"If (Triple-A is) the case, I'd probably just get back on the bump and start throwing 95 again and hopefully figure out how to throw an off-speed pitch," said Anderson, who went 0 for 4 with three strikeouts. "I'm ready to give it everything I've got this spring to develop and try to have a good year as a hitter.".

Crappy position players who make late-career attempts to become pitchers
are the new market inefficiency!

The one Brian Anderson fan here
should be really excited.
I think Gopherballs figured out that he could be outrighted to the minors, and not have his MLB contract guaranteed

He can refuse the assignment, (he has three years of ML service time)
and become a free agent, but he would not get paid the contract that way either.
Go Royals!
Brian Anderson's off-season
Day before signing: Let’s see, at least I think I’m better than Mitch Maier, Josh Fields is not really an outfielder, and besides that, they can’t trot Guillen out there every day, so I should get to start. KC here I come!
Day of the Podsednik signing: OK…that’s probably Pods and DeJesus in left and center, so I have a chance at RF. I’m certainly the 4th OF…they wouldn’t have given me a major league contract if I wasn’t.
Day of the Ankiel signing: What the heck did I do?
That seems like a more appropriate name.

He should have negotiated a starting CF job when he signed here
Dayton surely would have caved

And not reneged
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
