Why Do I

Fear Parraz is about as good as the OF’s we’re paying millions?

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Parraz, Kila And

Mitch = run. Maybe Pena makes that runs.

is the correct grammatical way to say that...

a RBI…
an RBI?

I love this time of year.... The Royals are always in first place!!!

by averagegatsby on Mar 11, 2010 6:20 PM EST up reply actions

to me, if it is typed

a RBI, then it is read “a run batted in”
but if it’s
an RBI, then it’s read “an RBI”
so either way is legit

Is Gordon batboy today? Or is he writing down clutch-itude factors for everyone...

per. Daytons request?

I Don't See

Who would replace them. Teams usually aren’t punished too severely for losing in the conference tournament, even the early rounds.

The Astros Should

Be replaced by the Chiefs.

AAAWWWWWWWW...........ZOMGs

which would then push some curlers (?) into something like badminton, or cricket.

true, and...

especially this year where the bracket builders have said that the last 12 games wont be as heavily weighted as previous years. Rather, they will try to look at then entire year…novel.

they really have to improve the RPI

using KenPom’s #s would be a huge upgrade

by Will McDonald on Mar 11, 2010 5:53 PM EST up reply actions   1 recs

A comparison

KenPom = advanced SABERMETRIC analysis

RPI = Royals braintrust “advanced” analysis

Mr Glass, this is a pro sports team, not a retail store - run it like one!

by loyal2sdad on Mar 11, 2010 5:57 PM EST up reply actions

true

there are others that do the #s, but I am not all the versed on it, sorta like baseball stats, I bluff a lot of it, then just kinda agree

- .... .- - .----. ... / .-- .... .- - / ... .... . / ... .- .. -..

by MarioVanPeebles Republic of China on Mar 11, 2010 6:01 PM EST up reply actions

my main beef with RPI

and all the #s that BCS uses, is no margin of victory, because of BS “we have to be fine gentlemen here” thinking

umm, margin of victory is pretty damn important as a tool

there’s a larger structural issue that the gap between team 1 & team 100 is MUCH larger than the gap between team 101 & 200 or 201 & 340 for that matter

a smart coach/ad could totally game RPI if they wanted to… and any coach that schedules a team that is going to finish between 300-340 is just an idiot… you can play cupcakes with maybe a 1% greater chance of beaing you that are ranked 180

I Must Venture

To my wild Alaskan driveway and run my snowblower. It’s a 9 horse Honda, and it rocks. Honda small engines are one of the wonders of the universe.

I spent a month trying to find a lawnmower that had a Honda engine...

But wasn’t a Honda lawnmower, mainly because my yard is not big enough to need all the added bells and whistles of wheels that swivel, and self-propelment

I love this time of year.... The Royals are always in first place!!!

I Use A

$80.00 push reel mower for my yard. I have an acre, but I let most of it go wild, in a cultivated way.
