oh boy

it seems like not long ago we were saying “at least Dayton can put together a good bullpen”

I have never understood this club's fascination with Roman Colon

His numbers have never been that great, and then there’s the whole “punching a teammate” character angle.

But he throws 100 mph! That worked out well for our last setup guy!

I think the slider thing is promising

Sometimes the new pitch/new grip thing is spring training BS -but sometimes it’s for real. If his slider is for real I do think he’s got potential. It wouldn’t be the first time a marginal pitcher has added/changed a pitch and become dominant.

Just look at Farnsworth and his new cutter

Depends on the teammate

For example, if it was A.J. Pierzynski, would that change your outlook?

Which reminds me...

I saw an advertisement in the back of a magazine (probably AARP newsletter) the other day for Colon Flow and thought it interesting that the same baby boomers that were laughing at Colon Blow on SNL 25 years ago are ordering Colon Flow and not laughing. I am of that age but, as yet, have not ordered the product.

Was Colon Blow really 25 years old?

Looking it up, it was 1989, but I still can’t believe it was that long ago. I miss Phil Hartman.
