Royals Explode for 21 Runs in 5 Innings

No one watching because of the predictably blase second day of the NCAA tournament, but the Royals are absolutely obliterating the Diamondbacks right now. Brian Anderson has hit for the cycle. (Consider this the overflow thread.)

Thorman's Making A

Pretty good living, I guess, but can he ever make the bigs?

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

What's wrong with the Dback pitchers today.

Farnz apparently liked how they throw and is now trying to imitate them.

by BoShootsGrizzlies on Mar 19, 2010 6:24 PM EDT reply actions

McClure should make Farnsy wear a blindfold

when other pitchers are this bad, he throws bad enough without getting any more ideas.

Well if we can just score 21 runs

on days that he pitches, that’d be good enough!

You know,

Trey is only interested in what the guys have done for him lately.

Maier is riding the bench while Farnsworth pitches a scoreless inning…I think we know how this will turn out.

3-3 with a double and a Hr

Blue Rocks yest

Former second-round draft choice Sam Runion got the start. The right-hander allowed five runs on eight hits in four innings of work. A former top-10 prospect in the organization before Tommy John surgery cost him all of the 2009 season, right-hander Matt Mitchell, got the win in relief. He struck out six men over three innings and allowed just one run and one hit. A late addition to last year’s team, Patrick Keating, finished the contest with two scoreless innings.

Runion is pretty much toast.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

Herges 24.75 ERA

Making the team seems unlikely, but then again, its the Royals.

Go Royals!

More impressive

No hits in three innings to go with 3K. However, the two BB give me a little pause. We need to see more, and on back-to-back days.
