Royals Explode for 21 Runs in 5 Innings
No one watching because of the predictably blase second day of the NCAA tournament, but the Royals are absolutely obliterating the Diamondbacks right now. Brian Anderson has hit for the cycle. (Consider this the overflow thread.)

Pretty good living, I guess, but can he ever make the bigs?
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
Farns with a 14.29 ERA, sure looks like
5th starter
Go Royals!

What's wrong with the Dback pitchers today.
Farnz apparently liked how they throw and is now trying to imitate them.

Maybe he's trying to win a spot in the Dback's rotation

McClure should make Farnsy wear a blindfold
when other pitchers are this bad, he throws bad enough without getting any more ideas.

never understood why anybody thought he could be a big league starter
his stuff is just so… mediocre, and last i checked, he really only has 2 pitches

Now that NYRoyal is here
I will take this moment to remind him of my prediction that Aviles makes the opening day lineup
-
of what other team?
YuBet it wont be the Royals.

I will congratulate you heartily if you are correct. I can’t be that optimistic on this point.

Well if we can just score 21 runs
on days that he pitches, that’d be good enough!

damnit
we’re scoring all the runs and not leaving any for the real reason
Ralph Wiggum would be a better GM than Dayton Moore

No real season this year. Think of ’10 as an extended ST.

Hosmer had a good first ST game yesterday
3-3 with a double and a Hr
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

Blue Rocks yest
Former second-round draft choice Sam Runion got the start. The right-hander allowed five runs on eight hits in four innings of work. A former top-10 prospect in the organization before Tommy John surgery cost him all of the 2009 season, right-hander Matt Mitchell, got the win in relief. He struck out six men over three innings and allowed just one run and one hit. A late addition to last year’s team, Patrick Keating, finished the contest with two scoreless innings.
Runion is pretty much toast.
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
Herges 24.75 ERA
Making the team seems unlikely, but then again, its the Royals.
Go Royals!
Blake Wood has performed very very well so far. I hope they leave him down til May though
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
More impressive
No hits in three innings to go with 3K. However, the two BB give me a little pause. We need to see more, and on back-to-back days.
They're gunna fuck around and win the Central
