Royals Absolutely Freaking Destroy Diamondbacks

I guess the Royals really wanted to get revenge on former K.C. farmhand Billy Buckner.

The Royals led 21-0 in the fifth inning, en route to a 24-9 victory over the Diamondbacks Friday.

Brian Anderson, who weirdly enough we had just talked about the night before as a forgotten man, hit for the cycle in the first four innings.

Star-divide

Being a Royal-explosion, it was highly singles based. In getting out to a 21-0 lead, the Royals banged out 17 singles. St. Willie had three of them himself. Kila and Aviles also had huge days. Many guys did.

Oh, and Farnsworth and Herges gave up nine runs.

That is pretty crazy that BA hits for the cycle 12 hours after we were talking about him

For some reason I get the feeling that cycle made Hillman angry somehow. I’m not making a joke here. That thought actually jumped into my head.

Unbelievable

BA goes 5 for 5 yesterday, and today he doesn’t even get a start in either split squad game.

Good stuff today

Really encouraging to see Aviles, Anderson and Kila all crushing the ball. Anderson was a darkhorse to win the 4th OF position entering ST. Now it seems he should be neck and neck with Maier.

I’m sure DM feels pretty good about the ~$5 mil invested in Pods and Ankiel right about now. I don’t.

Once again, the difference between building a roster and filling a roster…

Brandon Wood pitched a 1-2-3 9th with 2 k's

seems to be pretty solid in relief so far

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

I wonder if Trey and Dayton noticed

that their reserves outhit their regulars. But I guess that Kila, Maier, and BA Just aren’t as good as Pods, Gullin, and Ankiel since they make the big bucks.

The Best Team

Moore could field from the current roster does not include Hoagy, Podzilla, Yu-Bet or Bloomers. If we had the money due to that bag of shit we could possibly have made a significant FA acquisition or two and go for at least a break even season if not contention.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

There May Be

A month this season where we don’t score this many runs. Seriously.

I'm afraid you might be right.

But still, that’s a pretty strong statement.
