1. Should be Tejeda but it’s gonna be Davies
2. For some reason yes but he is showing his true ability so far in ST
3. No idea, Blake Wood probably has the most talent in the bp
4. No he’ll make the team
5. Dusty Hughes probably deserves a role in the pen
6. Yes unfortunately I’ll get to watch him in Omaha
7. He could be ready for SS by the end of spring he’s already playing 3b
8. Yes in LF
9. Is he ever happy?
10. He doesn’t see if he clears waivers.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

1. I think it is kind of a tossup. I think the team would benefit from giving both of them starts this season to see if they can develop them into decent starters. FWIW, I think they’ll both get a shot at some point this season. BTW, where the hell is Jorge Campillo? Is he hurt?

2. I’m getting a sinking Tomko/Ponson/HoRam feeling about this. Everyone knows it would be horrible to start the season with him in the rotation, but Moore/Hillman might have their heart set on it.

3. Committee. No clear primary setup man. Hillman has done that in the past. He’ll ride the “hot hand”.

4. Might as well give him a shot.

5. Might as well. If they are going to demote the second most talented reliever in the organization (Rosa) to the minors, go ahead and carry two lefties.

6. I hope he isn’t in Omaha long.

7. The article said even his throws from 2B haven’t been at full strength. If that is true, it doesn’t sound like he’ll be playing on the left side of the IF in the majors any time soon. Maybe late April.

8. They could if they tried.

9. kcscoliny said it just right. He’s never happy and who gives a shit. I hope he gets really pissed off and destroys a bunch of stuff in the clubhouse, leading to DM giving him his unconditional release.

10. He fits very nicely on the Omaha roster, along with Brian Anderson.

Agree. I have a feeling they’ll put him in the rotation.

First outing: 5 IP 7 H 4 R 4 ER 2 BB 3 K

They’ll say “he did really well until the fourth when he hit a wall and gave up a few runs. He’s just not use to starting.”

Second outing: 6 IP 9 H 3 R 3 ER 0 BB 4 K

They’ll say “See, this was a great experiment!”

Third outing: 4 IP 8 H 7 R 6 ER 3 BB 2 K

“Tough break.”

Fourth outing: 2 2/3 IP 7 H 6 R 6 ER 2 BB 1 K

“We’re working on a new pitch with him.”

Fifth outing: 2 1/3 IP 7 H 7 R 7 ER 1 BB 0 K

“This next start is a make or break outing for him.”

Sixth outing: 1 IP 5 H 5 R 5 ER 0 BB 0 K

“We have placed Kyle Farnsworth on irrevocable release waivers.”

1.Who is the 5th starter?
Probably Davies. Tejeda deserves a look and possibly the job. The bigger question at the moment is, do we use a 5th starter the first two weeks? We have those off days built in which would make it perfect to give ZG five days rest and start more games…

2.Is Farnsworth getting a serious look at that rotation spot?
I think he got a serious look from Trey and Dayton because they realize he sucks in the pen. Maybe starting would give him a fresh start… but obviously not so he’s not being considered… anymore.

3.Who are the primary setup men going to be for Soria?
Setup men by committee… Trey isn’t going to be real smart with this. If Cruz is healthy, it should be him. He has the next best stuff.

4.Will Edgar Osuna be offered back to the Braves?
Never.

5.Will the Royals keep a lefty specialist in the bp?
No. Trey doesn’t believe in those splits. Osuna should be in the pen and we have had another lefty or two pitch better than some of the vets….

6.Will Alex Gordon start the year on the disabled list?
Yes.

7.How long until Aviles is fully recovered?
I think he is nearly ready to go. But we’ll keep him buried for a while until Yuni proves to Trey that he isn’t the answer. But was he really the answer? We got a fill in SS for basically nothing when we needed it. Maybe Dayton thought this one through after all… we’ll get the worst SS in the league for cheap until Aviles is healthy….

8.Can the Royals find regular duty for Callaspo if Getz is the starting 2nd baseman and Gordon returns from injury?
I don’t think so. Trey will throw him out in LF and RF… reminiscent of trying to get Bloomers more PT last year… remember those dives in RF?

9.Is Jose Guillen going to be happy as a fulltime DH?
Never. Jose hates the world but loves his money. Contract year.

10.Where does Josh Fields fit on this roster? I don’t think he does. I hope we sneak him through waivers and he develops.

There should be an 11…. Brian Anderson.

it's not quite murderers row but

… a stretch of lineup that contains, in any order DeJesus, Callaspo, Butler & Aviles will not only produce some runs and baserunners, but can be the foundation of some decent innings….

… why do they seem so dead set against 2 of them even being starters?

7.How long until Aviles is fully recovered?

He’d be so lucky. DFA.
