So much sabermetric love.

Ya I heard this when he was on
Banni could make a great GM after he retires.
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
He's like Billy Beane but actually made it to the majors.
I love this time of year.... The Royals are always in first place!!!

My favorite part
Do you think the Defense is better… Yes definitely better
Which translates as… Thank God Guillen is not longer the Right Fielder

If you haven't listened to this, you better.
Lot’s of in depth stuff when it comes to GB:FB K:BB % ratios… great stuff. Something that is legit.
Listen. Do it.
Coffee. The NEW Performance Enhancing drug for Sport's Writers. Just ask Ken Rosenthal.
It was indeed fantastic
You can tell some tension in philosophy between him and the organization, though he also seems to be a little ambivalent on UZR (but says it is valuable).
Totally fascinating. What Bannister is doing is totally different — rather than advanced statistics as a GM tool, it is a way to measure one’s performance and to find ways to make you a better player…do we know of anyone else that is doing this?
Max Scherzer has talked about this stuff a bit
and he actually has really good stuff
I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at FanGraphs.

I *heart* Banny.
I wore my #19 t-shirt to my root canal yesterday for good luck, which turned out to be a good choice since the endodontist hummed offkey the whole time, thus stealing my coping mechanism of focusing on the office music instead of what they are doing in my mouth.
Wow, favorite is "Wins Above Replacement"

of course, they're crediting it to BP, and calling it "WARP" and 'VORP"
great, just great

really good listen
he speaks so well. i really hope he does stick around in baseball after his playing days are over. it be even better if it were in kc. he’d hopefully appease any old timers by having playing experience, but at the same time, be open to modern advances.
