Just emphasizes the mistake Moustakas is making by not being willing to try catcher

Myers probably won’t stick there, but probably in RF, the one non 1B place Moustakas might be good… We’ll see, Moustakas is “in the best shape of his life” this spring, and even took a walk yesterday.

I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at FanGraphs.

According to JJ, Moustakas didn’t say he wouldn’t play catcher it was more of a discussion when he was initially drafted and hasn’t be revisited yet. If his range doesn’t improve at AA this year I think they could go back to that discussion.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

great post rany

I have very high hopes for Myers… He’s got all the makings of a potential star at catcher or the outfield… While hosmer and moose may dissapoint us, this kid could (and I think will) be special.

Don't jump off the Moose wagon yet.

The guy is just one year removed from leading a league in HRs as a teenager. Yes he lacks patience at the plate but he knows that is a problem of his as he has said in an interview with R.Ford(610am). Bianchi really struggled his first season in Wilmington(Home) actually worse .193/.245/.344 and he bounced back last year, Moose has alot more talent with the bat as Bianchi and I expect him to do much better this season.

Moose’s road splits were much better .292/.331/.473 than his home splits .208/.296/.359 which really isn’t that odd in Frawley field. Change of scenery should do him alot of good.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

please clarify

Do you think there’s still a potential place on this team for Bianchi?

I’m honestly not trying to sound like a jerk, I just didn’t think he projected to be a worthwhile Royal Fellow…

A lot depends on if he can stick as a full-time SS

people might differ fro me on this, but to me, that’s the difference between him being a league-average starter and being a utility man

Ya I think Bianchi can't be ruled out yet.

As with most other Royals he lacks patience but has great hands, a good arm and enough range to play SS. Who does KC have blocking him really? GMDM is souring on Yuniesky you can hear that in the interviews already and if Bianchi can repeat his ’09 performance at AA could be in the mix by the end of the season. His only real block is Aviles if he returns close to ’08.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

OF course

this latest injury screws things up that much more.

Murphy was an optimist.
