Here we are at the start of another season of Royals baseball. The team has changed a little. For the better? I guess we’ll see. Is hope springing eternal? Or is the Royals fanbase drowning in a sea of despair already? There’s only one way to find out. Dive into the RCI and give me your answers.
Well, this is the first RCI since May of last year. At this point I’d usually give the most recent RCI, but I’m going to hold off on that until I compile the current RCI. Then I’ll report them both. I think the differences will be pretty interesting.

I actually find my stance softening on Hillman
Not because I think he’s getting better as a manager, but he’s Dayton’s turning him into a massive scapegoat.
You almost get the feeling that he wants to do the “right” things – play MITCH, Aviles @ SS, etc., but has his boss promising Ankiel the starting CF job and trading for the worst SS in baseball.

here's to hoping i'm way over on yuni's number of games played
1. – 6 (it’s a new season….always somewhat optimistic)
2. – 6 (greinke = stud and i expect hoch to break out and banny to pitch a full season)

5. – 6 (outfield has a ton of range/speed, getz is a good defensive player, aviles is back)
6. – 3.5 (poorly put together major league club for the last few years…but the farm is looking nice)
7. – 5 (i don’t think GMDM helps him get the kind of players he wants to play his kinda ball, but i have MAJOR issues with the way he managed the pitching staff last year)
8. – 8 (the farm is looking great…should have plenty of depth in our organization within the next couple years)
9. – 6.5 ( an average of the near future = 4 and the distant future = 9)
A. - Somewhat Disappove – Weak MLB team and poor free Agent/trading but huge improvements on the farm system
B. - Somewhat Disapprove – Great philosophy and he’s surrounded himself with a good staff, but poor decision making
C. - Don’t Know – It’s a tough call because we have to wait and see how the plethora of talent in the farm system is handled
D. - 2011 Offseason – This organization is entirely too trusting and doesn’t always cut the cord when necessary
E. - 19 – Improved Defense should help and a plus-changeup now in the arsenal but run support probably won’t be much better than last year.
