It is my understanding, with regards to this game, that the competition between the two teams is so spirited and intense, that, after a fashion, we might think of it as being somewhat like a battle between vicious combatants back in the days of hand to hand combat at its most brutal, one so pitched and inspired that not a single man, from either side, was left breathing by the time the last trumpet had sounded.
