trade candidates?

who should the royals trade this season? and what do they need back in certain trades?

personally i like dejesus as a royal in the future. he hustles, puts up good numbers, and plays a good defense.

1. jose guillen - get him out of here while his stats are decent and he can help a team for over half a season.  his value keep plummeting as the season moves forward because his stats will equalize and this is his last year.  trade him, get a couple or one young project player, eat his salary and plug kila in the full time DH role.

2. gil meche - not providing much to the royals.  he has this year and next year left so his value is decent to teams needing a 3 - 4 starter which is what he is in all honesty.  they are going to shop him next year so why not this year?  and in this offseason sign a true #2 starter and still have greinke.

3. farnsworth - he is actually having a good season.  he has value to teams in the playoff push especially former teams like the yankees.  get a low A ball player for him and move on.

4. alex gordon - he has decent value and some say still has upside.  he has no future as a KC Royal. his move to the OF was last ditch and it will not help his bat at all so he will still be the same old alex gordon.

if the royals can get 6-7 young players for these guys it will help in the long term development by putting guys in the organization behind the young guys that should arrive no later than 2012.
