Why have MLB umpires been slumping ?
They have gotten so much worse in the past 10 years. Is it because nothing happens to them when they consistently screw up?

I really don't mind umps making mistakes now and then
Although I do agree that they should be held accountable.
But the ever-shrinking strike zone is doing a big disservice to the game.
