So...missed the game, how long did Bannister make it tonight?
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.
People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.
Too Long. Actually,
He retired no one in the 4th. Left the sacks packed for Chen. Good times.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

and Chen only allowed two of those across?
That’s not too bad.

that one warmup pitch he threw in the 4th didn't help
I went to the Plaza and said "this is where the parade will be held when Dayton Moore gets fired"
haven't heard anything countering that
Bannister threw one warmup pitch before the 4th inning
although Garcia threw like 7 pitches in the 4th too, so Banny could have been taking a leak
I went to the Plaza and said "this is where the parade will be held when Dayton Moore gets fired"
watching video per Trey
She said "are you stupid or just apathetic?"
I said "I don't know and I don't care"

I Decare Them
TO BE OUTLAWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
doesn't he know
he’s not supposed to just come out of the gate and hit the ball? he needs to take his time, flail around in the field and hit poorly while he gets warmed up.
sincerely,
alex gordon

word on the street is that
Getz will be benched vs a LHP tomorrow night so that Aviles can play some more

It's a good thing I've got plenty to do around KC
aside from watching the Royals. Hank Jr. at the Sprint Center on Saturday night and Rockfest next Saturday. I will be too drunk to realize how bad the Royals suck. When do the Chiefs kick off the season again?
Fire Dayton Moore Now!!!!!!!!!
18-11?

Well, that means that after tonight's game
We’ll be beset by injuries and go into the tank for the season. Nooooo!
wait, doesn't it actually mean we'll start the opposite of a decline?

Well
11-18 will just be the end of the cold slump and the beginning of a breathtaking ascent to 97 wins.
Can't believe Hillman in the Star today
Betancourt is still considered the starting shortstop.
Sigh.
I hate to do it (but I’ve done it before), but it’s time for me to actively root for Betancourt to make outs just so the idiot manager can give the shortstop job to a guy who should OBVIOUSLY have the job already.
It’s dejavu all over again. We went thru this same scenario in 2008 with TPJ.
"We're gonna win with pitching and defense" General Manager Dayton Moore, circa winter 2009
"Where did all these Indians come from?" General George Armstrong Custer, circa summer 1876
seems like Bannister can't pitch consistently
I have seen some great numbers put up by him, but then some gross games. I don’t get to watch many games these days. whats his deal
extremely mediocre "stuff"
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

I've been critical of Banny's post-game "excuses" for when he doesn't pitch well
and have had an intense comment back-and-forth on RR recently. But to his credit, after this game, he just said that his stuff wasn’t there today: he “had no feel for the ball”, he couldn’t locate, and that he “really wasted everyone’s time out there”. IMO, good to see him acknowledge that sometimes a pitcher has a bad day. Just try to shrug it off and focus on getting your game ready for your next start.
