Awesome
I wish I lived a little closer to K.C.
Where does the talent of Royals prospects go? I imagine a man in Germany shouting "Why can I play baseball so well? WHY?" - Joe Posnanski

It's a shame they can't get a real team
to come to Arrowhead.

I am now channeling Will McDonald's optimism.
This is great for KC
To be able to pull this kind of team to town. Let’s pack it full!
I once had hope...now I have Moore.
I'm not sure
even Lawrence has enough people willing to pretend to like professional soccer to make this worth it.
I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at FanGraphs.

The US-Costa Rica game in 2001 was kickass
Despite the stadium being 90% Hispanic fans rooting for Costa Rica. American soccer fans are the cockroaches of fandom, not often seen but everywhere and hard to get rid of. They’ll be coming out of the woodwork and you’ll get some St. Louis people sad that they built a POS dome that no one in their right mind would hold a soccer match in.
I wouldn’t be surprised if soccer is gaining fans in Kansas City, given the predisposition of our major sports teams to sucking.
"It’s not about the guacamole itself," Greinke said. "I just don’t want to let them win."
The Wiz have sold out every game
Granted, tiny stadium, but still. I’d say our soccer market is doing pretty well. This is a HUGE get for KC.

It's funny to me, too
I remember when I moved from KC to Fort Worth back in ‘88. I was stunned at the sheer number of soccer fields in use, the number of times you’d see people kitted out for a match, how often you’d hear people talk about soccer.
And I’m talkin’ white people here.
I had never seen that before. Not even in Rich White Yuppie JoCo.
I am now channeling Will McDonald's optimism.
