Those pics are great
I am blogging at the wrong place. Rank 100 hot women or talk about how many games Jason Kendall has caught?
A day to re-prioritize.

And since no one actually playing them knows how to tune to the B flat
You get that great warbling sound!

WAR after Four was in interesting post
I thought Hochevar had been at least better than that.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

It's worth noting that the only reason he's been given the chance to be in the negatives
was because he was called up “so early” despite being the ‘most ready’ draft pick.
That said, two points:
1. Rany thinks he may have turned the corner and I think I agree.
2. Dammit, Tim Lincecum.

Those pics from the '73 ASG are awesome
The ump in picture 4 has a sweet getup on (Kauffman himself has a great outfit on in picture 20). The couple in picture 7 are looking forward to what it’s like to watch the Royals in the 00’s. And I just flat out love everything in picture 10.

That would have been a good one...

For some reason
I’m not able to see past the first picture. Neither the arrow buttons nor the side-pictures are clickable links for me.

With Bert struggling, now would be a good time
to make a shrewd trade for Zombie Chipper Jones…it would be DMGM’s Magnum Opus.
We have met the enemy, and he is us.
Caldera - never seen him pitch, he doesn't get much credit
but I have been cheering hard for him since 2008. It seems like he gives a solid outing every time out. I too am curious how he does in the TL.
We have met the enemy, and he is us.
This is an exciting game of futbol
USA showed up second half

This ref, or ump, or official, or whatever he's called...
Is worst than Joe West….he’s either just terrible (not likely) or paid off from the Russians (likely)

True fact
Every referee at this tournament apart from Howard Webb of England is a part timer with a full time job as something else. England has recruited it’s officials full time.
Point being, that can only adversely affect their standard.

This is true...
But…even the English announcers said it…something to the affect " Even as an Englishman, I can say objectively the U.S. got fucked."
or something that amounted to that.

The pictures from the 1973 ASG are great...
Check out the jacket worn by Mr. K in picture # 20 although you can’t beat Pete Rose’s sartorial style in picture # 10. And I’m pretty sure that the man in the background in picture # 21 is walking through a fart cloud.

The pitchF/X article is great - everyone should read it whether they're planning to analyze pitches or not
Hitting both on mistakes to avoid when analyzing pitch data but also explaining some of the details behind the pitchF/X systems and how they have their own inherent inaccuracies and/or misleading aspects.

agree the pitchF/X article is amazing
Really puts everything in perspective and actually helps understand causality when looking at pitchF/X
