Edwin Jackson throws 149 pitches in no-hitter.
Hope he enjoys looking back on it when his arm falls off.

Damn. When did Hillman become manager in Arizona?
I can see it now. In Search Of….Edwin Jackson’s right arm. I can almost hear Leonard Nimoy’s voice.
It's not a big deal if it's a one time thing.
Look at Ubaldo’s pitch counts from this year….he’s obviously been fine.
Check out the college kids pitch counts too.

I still think it will be interesting to see how his next start goes
it didn’t work well for Meche.

Yeah, but we are talking about Edwin Jackson.
Even if his arm is perfectly healthy he is as likely to give up 7 runs as none.
One thing to remember about Meche
Is that the start before his infamous 132 pitch game last year, he went 118. Also, I don’t remember clearly, but I think that the game this year where (I think Trey) let him throw 128 or so was part of another major back to back outing.
Jackson had thrown 107 pitches in his prior start, but his prior start was six days before his no-hitter, not five. (I don’t know if Meche’s starts were five apart, but it’s a factor to consider for Jackson).
