Yes, runs a 4.2 forty yard dash, throws the ball 100 MPH, once hit a ball 600 ft with one hand. I heard he’s a blogger now but I could be wrong.
I thought he was last seen playing independent league in NJ?
or was that managing in Visalia?
~~~if there is one thing i absolutely know for sure its... ummmm uhhh.... uhhh
nevermind
He's like 6.8 325 lbs of muscle with 0% body fat and hit a ball thru the Green Monster
Was it a one-handed TPJ swing?
Or slightly more impressive?
Awesome
Movin’ on up. Just saw that he was OPSing at .900+. Keep it up, kid. Someday soon you can look forward to making 90-100 consecutive starts at catcher.
Theriot is a catcher, right?
Myers gets to stay at Catcher for the time being?
Which isn’t terribly old for the level, but Perez for reference just turned 20, and Myers turns 20 at the end of the year.
Though I just read
that earlier this year Perez was the youngest player in the Carolina league.
I presume this means he will play off of catcher some since Perez is also there. Whether this means DH or OF, we’ll have to see.
Yay for Myers
Boo for the 9:05 start tonight.
The Fact That
We can debate this is encouraging.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
it is for now
that could change real quickly because Monty, Duffy, and Hosmer could all join AA soon. and even Lamb.
Yeah, He Needs
To move to NWA because that's where the real prospects develop
That team would be a beast
They could probably do better in the AL Central than the Royals are right now.
Wha???
Hilton Richardson has tools beyond tools
OT- What ever happened to Schaum and 610 Sports?
He was really great on their post-game show; now they have that “New School” tool who seems to make a factually incorrect statement every 3 seconds.
They Probably Took
A listen around the dial and realized that’s what sells.
That's Too Bad
For us, but I hope he’s moving up the food chain.
About time
I was almost expecting him to stay down at A- to work on catching. Glad to see they are going to let his bat progress.
It'll Be Telling
If he stays behind the dish full time. I haven’t heard any reports on his defensive progress, but it would be nice is he could stick at C.
Good deal
Here’s hoping Frawley doesn’t kill his numbers.
Frawley will lightly maim them
But that’s to be expected. Plus the league is more of a pitcher’s league and he’s youngish for the level. Remember, he wasn’t even playing pro ball yet a year ago. Just hanging at the level is good start. What he’s doing there by next April/May is what really matters.
It's all ball bearings these days!
He has 2 hits so far.
Not we have Myers, Hosmer, Colon, and Perez(slumping but still) in that lineup.
We also have Lamb,Dwyer, and Melville as far as pitching.
Not too shabby.
Hits Are Overrated
In a small sample. How he is striking the ball is more important, if anything.
