OT: Joakim has compatriot coming to KC
Omar Bravo leaving Chivas for Kansas City. I'm actually pretty excited about this. A competent finisher could make this squad a playoff team, even as currently composed. Any other Wizards fans in the online Royals community?

I was slightly entertained by the World Cup
if that counts…

Wizards fan here MKE...
And i’m excited too. We need some firepower up front.
I once had hope...now I have Moore.
Was a pretty big Wizards fan when I lived in KC
Now I just kinda follow them from afar. But over the last few years, following them is even more depressing than following the Royals. The Wizards are pretty bad right now.
I'm still hoping for a return to the Wiz

No interest here in MLS
It’s a second-division league. I’m spoiled by having Barça as my home team, of course. It’s actually a surprisingly good deal; last season the cheapest seats were €24 against lesser teams and €30 when they think the opposition’s popular enough to charge it. Sometimes, when the opposition is really bad (e.g. a Spanish Cup game against a second-division team) they charge only €5. I always go to those because there’s a fun atmosphere; people bring lots of kids and a good time is had by all.
You can get away with smoking pot at the Camp Nou, but they don’t sell beer. It’s prohibited. You can, however, bring a hip flask and buy a Coke.

I am working on
the transition from World Cup follower to actual soccer follower (and cheating by going to the ManU-Wizards friendly next week). If this cat can score I’m all for it.

I think I'd be better served by picking a decent Premier League team
But I can’t watch it on tv here without paying extra, so I guess I won’t become a soccer fan. I watched a bit of Celtic vs. Seattle Sounders today. Celtic should have destroyed them I thought.
Starting to get into it
I’ve watched quite a few Wizards games on TV and went to my first game at CAB this year. Its entertaining, although they seem very similar to the Royals – very offensively challenged, and do just enough to lose a ballgame. Every game I have seen them play they have dominated, only to lose due to a stupid turnover or lapse in judgment.
