Title should be PITCHES* per Inning, not Pitchers. But I'm too lazy to change it.

Interesting

while Soria is getting hitters to swing at more pitches outside of the zone (the whole league is swinging at more pitches outside the zone), he’s also allowing more contact on pitches outside the zone — up from 60% last season to 75% this season. His Swinging Strike rate is also down. Perhaps this is why he’s having trouble finishing guys off.

His curve has been awful this year, guessing that's really not helping.

Yeah, he could have ended several innings 1-2 pitches sooner

if he could throw it for a strike.

I think that's the main thing.

When his curve is off, he’s more erratic than anybody except Bad Robbie.

Maybe he knows he is being underused

so he wants to stay out there as long as possible.
