Not the first time that's been the headline this year
P.S. can anyone else not see overflow babes? I can’t on my work or home computer. It’s annoying and I dont know how to fix it.
No never
At either location. There are no settings that I can see in SB nation to edit
And it’s IE7 and Firefox 3.6, so it’s not a browser issue that I know of
do you see other pictures, though/

Well, considering how hard it is to pitch a no-hitter
The odds aren’t great.

Because no hitters have a lot to do with luck
That’s just how it is. It takes skill but it takes a ton of luck to have 27 straight 20% chances roll 0
The ability to be good in spurts is the most important thing
Which is why I could easily see Tejada doing it in a September game or something.

Just trade anything that isn't nailed down
this crap has to end.
My problem with that is motion for the sake of motion
Nothing like trading stuff for C prospects when we have a crapload of C-level prospects in our system
I'm opposed to trading for the sake of motion
Because, all other things being equal, a lack of continuity turns off casual fans whose ticket buying has some effect on the team financially.

What was the rumored offer from PHI?
Was it Jason Donald and Lou Marson? Just Marson?
At least we got rid of Hillman
He just didn’t know how to motivate these guys like Yost. Yost played the game, and that’s a big deal to big major leaguers.
THE COMEBACK HAS BEGUN
Dear Alex Gordon:
I still think you will be awesome, but for the love of God, please stop getting hurt.
Sincerely,

Hot sex with a woman who chose me at random and makes absolutely no demands on me, so this game isn’t all that bad.

A feel good run would be nice.
I mean, we don’t even ask that they make a game of it anymore. Just… I dunno, one decent moment we can enjoy? Fuckers.

I want them to score 23 and break the all-time record

I thank the heavens
I had an organ recital to attend tonight. Otherwise I might have actually gone to this stinktastic affair. I would probably be in jail by now for having taken it out on some obnoxious Twins fan (redundant, I know…).

Twins fans are obnoxious?
Seems like they’d be sickeningly polite. Mind you, I’m from Maine and don’t know the regional dynamics out there.

Twins have scored 19 runs on 20 hits
How many hits would it take for the ROyals to score 19 runs?
40?
Well, it would take at least 57 since we only hit singles and don't walk.
And can’t seem to hit them in the same inning.
Of course Kendall would probably get hit by a pitch, so maybe only 56.
I can't believe it took until the 4th inning to get that low.
Once Billy’s ball was caught in the 1st, I assumed it was over. OVER. And yet, here we are, still not done.
We got a nice bump there before the 7th that increased our odds to 1%
But we couldn’t make the dream a reality.

The 6 walks help
You’d think the geniuses running our team would notice that the Twins out-walk us by about 1000 walks/year and suspect some correlation to how they score more runs.
You’d think wrong.
Health update
Royals Fever has worsened. Chills leading to unstoppable shivering, unable to stay awake, throat dry. Can’t muster the strength to go into the other room and turn off Baseball Tonight, where they are making fun of us.

wtf @ Yahoo! gameday
- D. Young singled to shallow left
- M. Cuddyer walked
- J. Kubel struck out looking
- End of Inning (0 Runs, 1 Hit, 0 Errors)
Mercy rule?
- W. Bloomquist homered to deep center
- P. Earth explodes
That mustach on Slama
Makes me think he’s really a woman trying to make it in a man’s game. Let’s watch.

avoiding the shut out made all the difference
anyone can lose by 18 runs…but 19 is a real embarassment
