Royals Make It Interesting, Lose Nevertheless
A 6-4 loss is like a win, right?
- Pena caught today! He actually had a pretty terrible day at the plate, leaving men on base and grounding into a double play that turned out to be fairly huge. Still, he played. He played! The Royals played their backup catcher in a day game after a night game!
- 11 hits. 11 singles.
- Brian Bullington showed up for two innings, and somehow didn't allow any runs. I credit Yost.
- Remember when Soria could pitch scoreless innings?

Another day another loss to Minnesota...Can dig at that Baltimore deficit now
Checkout Royals minor league notes at www.14for77.blogspot.com
Only allowed 69 runs in the 7 game stretch vs Yankees and the Twins
So we got our runs allowed avg under 10 per game.
So there’s that.

Since the A.S. break
108 runs allowed in 13 games (8.3 ave). Of course, we also allowed 15 runs in the last game before the A.S.B.

The only measure of true success in the NFL is the Vince Lombardi trophy. Anything less is a rationalization.
yeah
when they are going like this, i’m not going to waste my time fixated in front of the tv night after night…last night i finished watching The Book of Eli and I’ve been grinding through America: The Story of Us.
I’m looking forward to watching Man on Fire thanks to several of your recommendations; any others that i should be on the lookout for (favorite movies-clockwork orange, full metal jacket, election, bad boys II)?

If you like kidnapping movies, there's "Proof of Life", too
Stay away from “Taken”, though. Woo, was that bad.

I couldn't watch America: The Story of Us
All of the commentary was from uninformed, left-wing idealogues rather than people who are experts. In fact, the History Channel is pretty biased on many of their new programs.
- "But Frank, that's the worst shortstop in the league."
- "That's what they keep tellin' me."
When it comes to history
I’d rather read than watch, any day of the week.

Love that movie
There are some great one-shot scenes in there that are just amazing.

Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

It's easy to credit Yost for Bullington's success, but don't forget
that Moore made the roster move…

he's paid to be right,
and he’s not right that often
Why are we crediting everybody but Bullington for his good day?
- "But Frank, that's the worst shortstop in the league."
- "That's what they keep tellin' me."
Because we are sarcastic jerks.

and I'm not actually being sarcastic (well, about the clutch part I am)
I could see AnKiel as a waiver wire trade candidate if he can hold water for a few weeks. Plays all 3 OF positions off the bench for an NL team?
