Fan falls from 2nd deck at Rangers game
He's stable and responsive, moving his extremities. He fell over the railing trying to catch a fly ball. Pretty scary.

Here's the YouTube video of them carting him away

Everyone who bashes Kendall..... he is a damn good catcher. Very smart behind the plate. He has great BAT CONTROL, which makes him a good top of the order hitter.
I'm a proud "studs fag" since 6/20/2010... are you?
They showed a reaction of the umpire watching the guy fall
The ump looked pretty horrified.

Honestly, I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often
Particularly at football games when fans are much drunker. I know it happened at Arrowhead not that long ago.

This does happen somewhat often
This video just has reaction shots from fans and the umpire, which is pretty unusual. I’d say it happens once a year, usually at football games. I thought I remember it happening at a Chiefs game about 5-10 years ago.
Morbid curiousity
I really want to watch the video of the fall..

No video of the actual fall yet
Here are the reaction shots:

I remeber the first couple of times I went to Royals games as a kid
Being a bit scared that I would fall down the stairs and go over the railing somehow.
I was also afraid of falling off the upper level of malls. Does that ever happen?

Look Out For
The T-Shirt gun.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Going for a ball in Texas is apparently
some serious, dangerous business. Another incident from the same game:

Honestly
Any adult fan that goes after a foul ball with a kid within ten feet should be banned from all stadiums.

I disagree...
…you should catch the ball and give it to the kid.
I was sitting behind the home dugout one day when Sweeney fouled a liner right to me. As the ball left the bat, I sensed a kid to my left (eight or nine years old, as it turned out, wearing a glove, and clearly waiting for that foul ball), so I leaned out of the way to let the kid have it. He took it right off the bridge of his nose, which proptly turned into a gusher, dousing me in blood, and was carried out of the stadium. The ball went a good fifteen to twenty feet straight up off the kid’s face, and landed in the lap of someone one or two rows back. That guy put the ball in the kid’s lap as they carried him away.
Totally agree with you.
Though a line drive is a different situation. I feel like a dork taking a glove, so I don’t do it, but honestly, if you sit close enough in the lower level, you should have one for protection. It’s kind of like the women with the pepper spray in their purse. They’ll probably never use it, but just in case…
