The Royals just rolled over tonight to the Yankees while the team celebrated the 1980 A.L. Champions tonight, and I just can't take it any longer. What kind of organization wants to keep on losing by dealing players on playoff contenders (Kyle Farnsworth to the Braves and Jose Guillen to the Giants are examples) and there are rumors that Zack Greinke and Joakim Soria might leave K.C. during the 2010 offseason, and David Glass is thinking about selling the team. It was embarrassing for the 1980 Royals players to see their 2010 counterparts look bad against the team that the Royals dominated in the A.L.C.S. 20 years ago. Kind of reminds me of the 2007 Notre Dame football team honoring their 1977 National Champs squad in their 10/20/07 game against USC...and got trounced 38-0. (Head coach of the Fighting Irish? Charlie Weis, now Chiefs offensive coordinator. By the way, KC lost at Atlanta.) Looks like another losing year for us Royals fans and another losing year of Chiefs football as well. The Royals should have never lost to the Yanks on a night where they honored the '80 team, a team that would've even challenged the '10 Yankees in the A.L.C.S.! I'm not happy, and I want David Glass and Dayton Moore to stop acting like they're working at Walmart peddling goods and start being like the 1980 club when Ewing Kauffman and Joe Burke led the team that was still on top of the baseball world! If we continue to see the Royals fail (only 13 more losses to another losing season) and Charlie Weis is the 2007 Charlie Weis in KC, my response is after the jump...
When does Missouri football start? When does Kansas basketball start? When will GMDM be fired?
Have a nice day.
