Make up your mind, Willie
The Olympic Bobsled Team awaits you
"We're gonna win with pitching and defense" General Manager Dayton Moore, circa winter 2009
"Where did all these Indians come from?" General George Armstrong Custer, circa summer 1876
I laughed at this comment there:
You’re a reserve player on the Kansas City Royals. Maybe that should tell you something.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

I liked
File this with Luis Castillo and Jeff Francoeur under “Delusional”
I'm not a sabermetrician, but I do play one at FanGraphs and Beyond the Box Score.

And he’s 33, so he’s square in the middle of his Moorean prime. Where do we sign?
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
where's his 1 game winning HR?
too bad it wasn’t a walk off. that would have just made it too awesome.
for when I'm too lazy to come here, http://twitter.com/AtTheWall
I'd expect him to say stuff like this
to maximize his leverage in free agent negotiations. He could hang out a shingle that says, “Career Reserve and Fortunate For That”, but his agent probably would advise him against it.
i'd expect him to say it
because i suspect no one WANTS to be a bench player. he wants to start. no shit. so does everyone.

I wonder
If Yankees or a Red Sox would pay more for a super sub who can play anywhere than the Pirates or Astros will for a shitty everyday CF or SS.
He Is Posting
A career high .669 OPS so far this year, and that’s only because of his career high .380 SLG. His .289 OBP is the lowest it’s been since 2005. His OPS for a season has never been more than 39 points off his .652 career number, and he’s never had a .700+ mark for a season. He is what he is, and he’s not even a good utility player. He couldn’t start for the Astros.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
I don't think he expects to start, though
as some other commentors have suggested. It’s just that in the NL, he would likely still bat or play in the field on his “off” days.

I'm Just Saying
We really, really, really don’t need him back next season. Really.

I really do hope he heads to the NL.
Because I have no doubt that Yost and Moore would love for him to be back in KC.
Glad I came, just wish I hadn't stayed so long.

The headline
“Bloomquist Wants To Be Everyday Player”
He already is quite the everyday player. Now, if he wanted to be an every day player, then that would just be silly.
Kansas City Royals: your 2006 and 2007 NL Central champions!
He could compete for a starting job with the T-Bones.
I’m not saying he would automatically have the job, but he could be in the running.
Fire Dayton Moore Now!!!!!!!!!
