Royals with Great Win - We Will be Watching This Game During Rain Delays Next Season
Highlights:
- Yuni walks twice and homers.
- Royals put 7 runs up against Lee, 4 earned.
- Rangers go yard 4 times, to go with 3 doubles.
- Chavez sucks. That is all.
- Royals score 5 runs in one inning.
- That win was fun, now time to go see how the Ranger fans are taking the loss.

I am both nauseated and shocked.
Shocked that Yuni walked. Twice!
Nauseated by the pitcher’s arm. Ew.
Too bad I missed this one. Guess I’ll just have to wait for an appropriate thunderstorm in 2011.
Should that last one even count?
Do walks count if the batter never goes to first? I’m pretty sure Yuni just celebrated and never actually went to first.

Oooh, in-fighting.

Yikes........
The one guy that has a valid argument as to why his team played questionably is blasted EVEN BY THE MODS!!!!!! That, good sirs, is downright RIDICULOUS.
Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes; after that, who cares?! He's a mile away and you've got his shoes!
stunned that lapsed Texan Football fans might be kinda emotional

You would think Ranger fans would be taking this loss in stride
After all, they are about at 95% or so to make the playoffs, according to BP.
Only thing from this game they should be worried about is Cliff Lee
"We're gonna win with pitching and defense" General Manager Dayton Moore, circa winter 2009
"Where did all these Indians come from?" General George Armstrong Custer, circa summer 1876
They just don't disagree well
It probably has something to do with everything being bigger in Texas, but I don’t know how.

I just did a quick "word search" in my browser in the LONE STAR BALL post
Fuck appeared more than 100 times
Ass appeared 26 times
Shit appeared 37 times
So this is what it feels like to be a playoff team?
I loathe David Glass
Ha! Yeah.
Someone should patrol every team blog and find out if any fans are truly happy out there. You’d think Yankee fans would have nothing to bitch about, what with that trillion dollar budget and all, but I have no doubt that they bitch harder than we do.

It's fairly obvious that a good team expects to beat the Royals every time out
and for the Rangers to score 9 runs against the Royals and lose is unforgivable. If this had happened against a better team i don’t think you would see quite the outrage this has generated.
I expect the response will be:
Fuck. Ass. Shit.

Just wait until we see the people we attract when the Royals are in the playoffs
I have faith in Royals fandom, but not that much. Maybe they’ll stick to facebook.

AP - has cleaned up a bit
but it’s still hard to read during the season. The off-season reading is actually enjoyable…

The off-season is still kinda hard too.

I think having AP helps us appreciate the community here at RR
While the info there is top notch (even overwhelming), there are so many people and so many comments of all types that it doesn’t have the same “neighborhood” feel that’s RR does. —there’s no real better/worse, just different, but if the RR community started to get big and comments look like facebook, I definitely would be bummed.

I love the Cliff Lee porn during rain delays.
Now we’l;l have 3 games to choose from. Imagine Blomqvist’s interviews for hours during spring training about his late game appearance/heroics.

Just checked out the Ranger's sight and you guys are right!
What a bunch of knuckle-dragging degenerates. GLASSUX looks like a rocket scientist compared to them.

Whatever !
I’m right, you’re wrong! Stupid, ass hat.
If this is what it takes as fans to be part of a playoff team, we are all seriously slacking.

I Love It
When a really stupid plan comes together.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
Seriously, a lot of this is a function of The State of Texas
even their metropolitan areas are FULL of cretins. Somebody back me up here.

Arkansas for a few years in the 70s; no love lost across that state line. Lotta Tejans up here in AK, too, unfortunately. After the pipeline was built, the popular saying was “happiness is an Okie headed south with a Texan under each arm”.

Have lots of Texans here too
Working for the oil companies, including a few of my colleagues (who I have to say are charming).
In fact, Alberta is used to be known by some as the Texas of the north, on account of the two main industries we have in common- Oil and Cattle.

No one was obscenely angry we lost to the Royals, we’re obscenely angry with people who read too much into a loss to the Royals.

Geez
Cliff Lee’s arm looks like it’s going to snap off in that pic.
Taking bets on how long it’ll be until CL’s next trip to the DL.
Pretty sure Cliff Lee is left handed...
Dear Alex Gordon:
I still think you will be awesome, but for the love of God, please stop getting hurt.
Sincerely,
RF
I just saw these highlights on sportscenter
Man was that the best Royals game this year. With BLoomquist stealing home on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth. And Alex Gordon swinging the bat and not striking out!

I liked the Gordon walk off HR game more.

I often think that
when I look at still shots of pitchers. It’s amazing more elbow and shoulders don’t just explode….

Lee having problems in Texas
after a couple of good starts after the trade he has really come down to earth
he signs elsewhere for 5 years in the off season
Any task BIG or small, Do it well or not at all
He's too amped up from the transition away from the depressing Seattle weather.
