At the very least, Farnsworth is a cheap, undervalued reliever that has the potential for some high upside at the back of the Rays' bullpen.

but it seems to me there is a bit of an irrational hatred for all moves Royal in much of the baseball media….its like politics, if my guy does it, it makes sense somehow. If the other tribe does it, its asinine.

This has been one of the dumber offseason for relievers in awhile.
All the 3 year deals to middle relievers and now even the Rays are getting in the overpay.
Would you rather pay Farnsy for 1/3
Or Benoit for 3/15?
