Easy fix for Royals Rotation!
All the Royals need to do is trade for either Gavin Floyd or John Danks. I prefer Danks as he is younger and has more upside. The Sox love to trade with us, and usually don’t rake us over the coals as some of the other teams (the A’s) always seem to always do. Heck trade for both and our starting rotation is set for the next 3 years until the kids are really ready and push us to make a move on our terms? Seams to easy, maybe I should of been a GM……

So.... there's this catagory called "Fanshots"...
You know, for shorter posts. Where you really don’t put any work into your post other than saying a few random sentences. No offense, but if you’re going to do this, at least look into the nuts and bolts of what a trade would look like and who we may have to get up.
MAJOR LEAGUE (The Royals)
Rachel Phelps (Royals Management): I think he'll fit right in with our team concept.
Charlie Donovan (Royals Fans): That reminds me, I was going to ask you. What exactly *is* our team concept?

Royals Medic please allow me to retort......
It’s no secret that the White Sox are looking to dump salary and get younger. They have metioned in numerous articles that Danks and Floyd are available. The Royals match up well as a trade partner because they have so much depth in the minor league system while the Sox system is bear, so let’s start with Danks….Lets start with the obvious…he is only 26, will be 27 early in the 2012 season. 2nd the most important stat… WAR…Lets look at Danks the last 4 years…6.4 ,4.8, 4.8 and last year was down for him and still was over 2 at 2.1..So in review he’s been healthy, he’s coming into his pitching glory years (As was Meche) (when figuring $5 million per war per year. He has averaged 4.5 WAR the last four years and is under team control for 3 more years with a salary that will be around 7 million next year, with a million or two bump in arbitration each of the next two years . So in a nut shell he’s a #3 with #2 upside….As far as who the royals would have to give up….how about Cain and a 15-20 prospect. We get a pitcher for a 4th outfielder and a utilty player in the bigs at best…..Yet we still kept our key impact rookies…Just my thoughts though? More on Gavin Floyd later….and oh by the way I hope this was long enough for you!
Cain + a 15-20 prospect is not going to get you a proven starter in his prime.

Who would it take to get it done?
If Cain and a 15-20 will not get Danks then who would you offer? Melky and ??? Soria? Let me know what you guys think…
and oh by the way I hope this was long enough for you!

They should make you GM
I’m sure Dayton doesn’t know that Gavin Floyd and John Danks would be big upgrades for this rotation. Only a keen eye can see that.

Doesn't Danks just have one year of team control left?
If so, I wouldn’t trade more than David Lough for him. (this is only a slight exaggeration)

Did you make that? I have a feeling that’s going to be posted a lot this offseason.

I think Floyd is more interesting
His peripherals were decent last year. He has 2 yrs of team control for money that compares pretty favorably to market for a #3 type starter. I wouldn’t want to deal even one top prospect for him, but Melky and/or a C grade guy or two would be a reasonable move.
I think Kenny would be more focused on trying to unload Peavy at this point, but who knows with that guy.

Danks is an excellent career model for Duffy if nothing else.
their age 22 years are surprisingly similar.
for one thing, they were both 22-years-old.

By that logic,
he’d also be pretty similar to Chris Dwyer. And not too far off Kyle Davies, though not quite as similar, due to the extra letter. But Davies is sometimes spelled Davis, and in at least part of the UK they’re pronounced the same. So there you go.
